I discovered polyvore quite by accident one day while trying to track down some previously elusive items for a photoshoot. This happened to be about the same time that I was in a personal tumult regarding all things aesthetic and the semiotics of our everyday attire (clothing, makeup, hair and what this really says to others about us). My wardrobe is a hodgepodge of beautiful fabrics, bright colors, the strangest things that I could find at thrift stores, and delightfully ugly choice pieces. As I transition myself and wardrobe into adulthood (ridiculously slowly) polyvore has become my beacon of light and source of endless information on fashion and fashionable choices.
